We have a secret, you and I that no one else shall know, for who but I can see you lie each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand before we go to bed and feel the living warmth of you and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths and see ahead of me, your black form racing with the wind so young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim in every brook I pass and when I call, no one but I can see the bending grass...

William always will be my Hero.
He went with me on the craziest journey of my life - moving from Siberia to another side of the planet. He was a piece of my home and my protector and very often my sanity in that overwhelming time of the beginning of my immigration to the U.S. and I would never have made it without him.

Through showing him I found all my friends, who have become my family for many years and I owe that to him also.
Yes his "canine" physical and show qualities were outstanding — he was extremely successful show dog, and turned out to be an excellent sire of many prominent champions...

But there also were his “human" qualities, his personality and this is where this dog was so paramount for me. That bond, when you understand every movement and breath of each other. That bond, which makes your life complete.

I love all my dogs entirely but William's place will be never taken, and his absence will haunt me to the end of my life. But my heart will always keep a million amazing memories about The Dog of my life.

William after Best in Show

...William’s last title was AKC Champion in 2005 after the breed recognition in American Kennel Club. Being born in 1998, William was 7 years old then. But he went to open class and was honestly competing with younger dogs, getting majors and points. One of the judges asked in the show ring - how old is this dog? 7? Does he know that? No, William didn't know.
He was just moving the powerhouse of his body as easy as a wind. As always. And he won. As always.
Otherwise he wouldn't be William.
