Yes, we really are from Siberia!
Survival in this dangerously beautiful yet harsh land requires a strong body, keen senses, a reliable character and a big heart from everyone who lives there - dogs are no exception.
Because the breeding stock for Black Russian Terriers was isolated in this remote geographic location where the climate is so harsh, Siberia is known for development of bigger,
stronger and more powerful dogs.
That explains our desire and dedication to keeping the Siberian bloodlines going. Our kennel is young, but our experience with BlackRussian Terriers dates
back more than 17 years, to early 1990.
We love this breed and our goal is to continue to introduce it in North America.

Meet our Team:

|
Olga & Alex Kornienko
Olga: I have a Master's degree in Biology and more than 17 years of experience with Black Russian Terriers. These dogs are not just my hobby - they are my life. Back in
Krasnoyarsk, with my first BRT Sher and later with William,
I worked with my good friend Elena Ershova, owner of the kennel "Iz Enisejskoj Gubernii" and a National Category Expert in Working Quality and Sport". She is an experienced
breeder of many generations of wonderful dogs and one of them is our Multi Champion, Willaim Edward Dale.

|
Another good friend and partner of many years is Veronika Lifshits. She owns the well known Siberian kennel "Iz
Angarskoi Jemchujiny", which is also using William's puppies as foundation dogs. I married Alex in 2000, and
moved to the US along with William.

Alex is an Emmy award winning Television News videographer and still photographer, who has worked for
WJBK-TV(FOX-2 NEWS in Detroit) since 1993. You can view his artistic photography at ALKORN Photo.
William is Alex's first Black Russian Terrier, and because of William, Alex has developed a deep love and appreciation for this breed. Alex has proven himself as an excellent
dog handler at many different shows in the US and Canada. We have spent years working together as a family team. With Alex's handling and my grooming and training, William
became famous in North America. Many BRT lovers know him not only as the famous Champion, but also as a very
good producer. William's offspring represent many kennels around the world and he was also the foundation dog of the former "Siberian Star" kennel.

|
| We selectively breed William and today his puppies are continuing his legacy, becoming new
champions or just great members of BRT loving families. |

Dennis & Natasha Hasley
Dennis is a certified police K9 trainer, canine medical technician and behaviorist with more than 12 years of professional experience working with trainers and breeders on a
wide range of dog behavior and training issues, including proper puppy care and development for working class dogs.
"Over the past 12 years I have trained hundreds if not thousands of dogs and their owners as well," Dennis
says. "I've also trained many top performing police K9 teams throughout North America." protectors.

Six years ago, while looking for working German Shepard lines from Eastern Europe, Dennis
met his wife, Natasha. Having owned dogs all her life, she is perhaps one of the biggest dog lovers around and a proud member of the Humane Society of the United States. Natasha introduced Dennis to Black Russian Terriers and their legacy as agreat and loving pets, who are good with children but
also serve as front-line home protectors. Though he was skeptical, Dennis and Natasha bought their first BRT puppy from a Siberian
kennel "Angarskaya Jemchujina" in 2005 and have never looked back. In summer of 2007, two more BRT girls have arrived to Hasley family from Belorussia. "As BRT owners and future
breeders we are happy to join Alex and Olga in forming "Chornaya Zastava," says Dennis. "We share their commitment to breeding champion Black Russian Terriers that exemplify the
best qualities of this breed. |

Michael & Kathy Dull "Moe, Kathy and I live in Traverse City, MI which is cold and snowy, alot like Olga's Siberia", Michael says. "Kathy and I have owned German Shepards and Bouviers in the
past. We've always had a family dog to guard the house.
Some time after our Bouvier died of old age we started looking for a new Bouvier. In a magazine I saw a picture of the most beautiful Bouvier I had ever seen! I found out later it was a Black Russian Terrier!
After contacting several breeders I met William (all 140 lbs of him), Olga and Alex. From the instant I've met
William I knew I wanted a BRT. We had to wait a year for a puppy from William's bloodlines but Moe was well worth the wait."

Anastasia Kostyk & Taras Bondarenko
Anastasia and Taras are our youngest team members.
Anastasia used to own an Airedale Terrier named Alf. Alf proved himself as a working dog and earned working certificates OKD/ZKS. |
|

|
Anastasia has not only a good experience in training working dog, she also mastered her grooming skills,
while taking care of Alf's coat and preparing him for dog shows.
In October of 2007, Anastasia and Taras
joined the family of happy BRT owners, when their puppy girl Lea arrived from Siberian kennel "Iz Enisejskoj Gybernii".
Day by day, with love and dedication they are working hard to raise and train Lea, and we wish them all
the best!

Julie Allen
A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, I grew up with dogs and boats all my life, from mixed breeds to finally a Belgian Sheepdog who I competed with in obedience. My managerial job keeps me very busy, along with my daughter, but I felt like something was missing in our lives.
After much research, I found out about the Black Russian Terrier and was connected by the BRT community to a breeder who lives not fifteen minutes from my house which is Olga Kornienko. Olga introduced me to her friends Debby and Ken of Snowline Kennels in California and shortly thereafter Pink came into our lives.
During this time, I have become very close with Olga and Alex and feel like we are, all of us including the dogs, one big family. Since Pink has arrived, we have joined a great training club and already finished her CGC and are on the way to our CD in obedience I am very excited to explore all the other venues of competition available, from obedience, to agility and maybe even dock diving with Pink.
I think its safe to say that once one has a Black Russian Terrier, no other breed will do.
